One of Washington's two year-round accessible mountain passes, Stevens Pass Greenway travels from the coastal town of Everett, through the towering peaks of the Cascade Mountains, to fruit orchards and wineries of Wenatchee. The highway runs beside the wild clear Skykomish and Wenatchee rivers and ascends the west slope of the Cascades to 4,061' Stevens Pass. Stevens Pass Greenway boasts one of the richest diversity of landscape in Washington State. The route cuts its way through verdant and green areas, glaciated mountain peaks, spacious green valleys and deep shadowed forests. Teeming with wildlife, the area surrounding Stevens Pass Greenway awaits you with many species of animals and birds. Bald eagles, deer, hawks and bear are often sighted along the route. Stevens Pass Greenway also abounds with year-round recreation opportunities including hiking, camping, fishing, white-water rafting and skiing.

Several towns along Stevens Pass Greenway offer food, fuel, shopping and lodging and welcome visitors to sample the local hospitality. Stop in Everett and explore this busy port town. Enjoy river rafting, hiking and fishing in Sultan. Do some sightseeing in Snohomish with its Victorian homes and restored buildings. Visit Skykomish, a headquarters for outdoor activity in the surrounding mountains. Don't forget to stop in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. Relish the beauties of Cashmere, a city nestled on the banks of the Wenatchee River and minutes away from the Columbia River. Enjoy the sunny side of the Cascade Mountains in Wenatchee and do some wine touring, antiquing, or golfing.
